What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between visits, or let a third party, like an analytics provider, recognise your browser. This policy covers the cookies andjello.com sets or allows, and the ones that come from services embedded in the site.
How we use cookies
andjello.com uses cookies for two things:
- Keeping the site working. A small number of cookies support core functionality, such as remembering that you closed a notice.
- Understanding how the site is used. We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read, how people move through the site, and roughly where visitors come from. Analytics data is aggregated; we do not use it to identify you individually.
We do not use cookies for advertising or for tracking you across other websites.
Third-party cookies
Some pages load content from other services, which may set their own cookies under their own policies rather than ours:
- Google Analytics, loaded on every page, to measure site usage.
- Google Maps, embedded on the Contact page, which may set cookies when the map loads or you interact with it.
- Mailchimp, if you follow the “Newsletter” link in our footer. That link takes you to a page hosted by Mailchimp, outside andjello.com, governed by Mailchimp’s own cookie and privacy policies.
If blog comments move to a third-party commenting service in future, that service’s cookies will be added here.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you see, delete and block cookies through their settings, usually under a section named “Privacy” or “Cookies”. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of this site or embedded content, such as the map on our Contact page, work for you.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google’s own browser add-on.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
