Who we are
andjello is a technology company based in Lagos, Nigeria, at 24 Idejo Street, Victoria Island. This policy explains what personal data we collect through andjello.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

Information we collect
Information you give us directly
We collect what you enter into the forms on this site:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number, the reason for getting in touch, and your message.
- Consultation request. Your name, work email, company, job title and phone number, along with what you need help with, your timeline, an indicative budget band, a short description of your project, and your role in the decision.
- Job applications. Your name, email, phone number, links to your work (such as a portfolio or LinkedIn profile), your CV as an uploaded file, and anything you tell us about why you are applying.
- Blog comments. If comments are open on a post and you leave one, we collect the name and email you provide, your website if you give one, and the content of the comment.
Job application files are stored so we can review them and, with your consent where we ask for it, keep them on file for roles that open later.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, we collect some information automatically when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. We use Google Analytics for this, which sets its own cookies. See our Cookies Policy for the detail.
The Contact page embeds a Google Maps view of our office. Google may set cookies when that map loads, under Google’s own privacy policy rather than ours.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry, consultation request, or job application
- Understand your project well enough to scope it properly before we talk
- Keep a record of the enquiries and applications we receive
- Understand how people use the site, so we can improve it
- Meet our own legal and accounting obligations
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use what you send us for advertising.
Who we share your information with
Form submissions are delivered to our email and stored by the email and form-handling services that support this site. We use Google Analytics for site usage data, which is processed by Google under its own privacy terms.
The “Newsletter” link in our footer takes you to an external Mailchimp signup page. Anything you submit there is collected by Mailchimp under Mailchimp’s own privacy policy, not this one.
Blog comments currently run through WordPress’s own comment system. We may in future move to a third-party commenting service; if we do, we will update this policy to reflect what that service collects.
We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we only share it beyond the services above where the law requires it.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and consultation submissions for as long as is reasonably useful for the relationship, and delete or anonymise them when it is not. Job applications are kept for the hiring process and, where you have agreed, on file for future roles; you can ask us to delete yours at any time. Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics’ own retention settings.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA), you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict that use
- Withdraw any consent you have given us, at any time
To exercise any of these, email hello@andjello.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal data we hold, including restricting who has access to it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data protected in line with the NDPA.
International data transfers
Some of the services we use, including Google Analytics, may process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on those providers’ own safeguards for cross-border data transfer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to check back from time to time.
